About Hannah
I often tell people I have the best job.
There's nothing more gratifying to me than witnessing people courageously say the things they thought they couldn't say, do the things they thought they couldn't do, and move through feelings they thought would surely take them under. My story involves all of the above, making me uniquely qualified to walk alongside you through the brambles and bumpy terrain of healing and growth.
I lead with creativity, curiosity, and an open heart. My goal as a therapist is to assist my clients in finding depth, purpose, self-acceptance, and a general sense of belonging. I'm not strictly an "ahh, mhmm" therapist - I take an action-oriented approach that includes honest feedback and mutual problem-solving, with the client always in charge of their process. Change can be scary so patience, gentleness, and positive encouragement are necessary to complement growth.
I’m a licensed professional counselor (LPC) with an office located in midtown Nashville. I’m a Louisiana native who enjoys the outdoors, witty banter, and pandering to my golden retriever, Basil.
Frequently Asked Questions
How long does therapy take?
Therapy can last anywhere from a few sessions to several months and/or years. Length of time is dependent upon the client’s goals, the severity of condition, and the type of treatment. If you’re interested in accomplishing more in less time, an intensive is the best option.
What is experiential therapy?
Experiential therapy is an approach that emphasizes engaging clients in activities or experiences to help them explore and process emotions, thoughts, and behaviors that are otherwise not as readily accessible through traditional talk therapy. Examples include eye-movement-desensitization-and-reprocessing (EMDR), role-play therapy (psychodrama), art, guided imagery, and music.
What is an intensive?
A therapy intensive is an immersive, focused therapeutic experience that typically involves multiple, condensed hours or days. It aims to address specific issues or make significant progress in a shorter timeframe. This format combines various techniques and activities to accelerate the client’s healing or personal growth.
