Where Depth Meets Direction

Trauma-informed EMDR & Experiential Therapy for Getting Unstuck

THERAPY IN NV, TN, & MS | COACHING NATIONWIDE

“I feel like I’ve talked about my story a hundred times and nothing has changed.”

You’ve tried talking with friends, family, mentors, and maybe even other therapists, but you seldom feel relief. The resentment still festers, the depression continues to hold you captive, and anxiety remains the uninvited guest that keeps knocking at your door. You’re tired.

It’s time for a new approach…

What is Experiential Therapy?

Experiential therapy is less about just talking and more about doing. Instead of only discussing your thoughts or past experiences, we use real-time activities—like art, movement, drama, EMDR, imagery, metaphor, and time in nature—to help you connect with and work through your emotions as they’re happening. This approach can make it easier to access the deeper feelings and intuition that our minds are unwittingly holding us back from.

If that sounds like a lot, don’t worry. We’ll talk, too.

Therapy Services

Where I Specialize…

  • Providing compassionate, evidence-based therapy to help you understand the roots of addiction, build healthier coping skills, and create a sustainable plan for recovery that fits your life. Using a collaborative approach, I offer relapse prevention strategies, trauma-informed care, and support for rebuilding relationships and daily routines so you can move toward steadier, more meaningful living.

  • Manage anxiety through practices that cultivate emotional resilience and identify unhelpful thought patterns. Together, we explore the root causes of anxiety, practice skills such as mindfulness to reduce its intensity, and explore concepts of powerlessness and control so you can move through worry with more confidence and calm.

  • Helping you understand your attachment patterns and how they shape your relationships with the goal of rebuilding trust, self-worth, and emotional safety. Together we practice new ways of relating—through somatic awareness, effective communication, boundaries, and paced exposure to intimacy—so you can feel more secure, connected, and confident in your relationships.

  • Helping you reconnect with your body through compassionate, nonjudgmental therapy that challenges harmful beliefs and cultivates self-trust. Together we’ll explore the stories behind body image, build practical skills for coping with shame and comparison, and create an embodied sense of worth that feels steady and true.

  • Identify the patterns and beliefs that drive over-functioning, challenge the “must-do-it-all” inner voice, and build practical tools for setting boundaries and delegating without guilt. Together we create a grounded plan to slow down, restore balance, and strengthen your relationship to self so you can care for others without losing you.

  • Helping you navigate depression by creating a space to explore what’s weighing you down and identify patterns and beliefs that keep you stuck. Together we’ll build practical coping skills, strengthen resilience, and create a realistic plan for small, meaningful changes that reconnect you to energy and purpose.

  • Supporting the exploration of meaning, values, and fear without judgment. Together we’ll map what matters to you, build practical tools for coping with uncertainty, and cultivate a steady inner anchor so you can live more boldly and intentionally despite life’s unknowns.

  • Walking alongside you through grief and loss, helping you make space for pain while honoring the memories and meanings that matter. Together we’ll explore practical coping tools, ritual and meaning-making, and gentle steps toward rebuilding a life that carries your love forward.

  • Helping adults with PTSD by creating a safe, steady space to process trauma at a pace that feels manageable, using evidence-based approaches like trauma-focused CBT, EMDR, mindfulness, and other experiential methods to reduce symptoms and reclaim daily life. Together we build grounding skills, strengthen emotional regulation, and develop a personalized plan to move from survival toward reclaiming safety, connection, and purpose.

It may be that when we no longer know what to do, we have come to our real work, and that when we no longer know which way to go, we have come to our real journey.

About Hannah

I often tell people I have the best job.

There is nothing more meaningful to me than witnessing someone say what once felt unspeakable, do what once felt impossible, and move through emotions they feared would overwhelm them. My own experiences allow me to sit with you not only as a clinician, but as a fellow human who understands how vulnerable growth can be.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) providing in-person therapy in Reno, NV and virtual therapy in TN and MS. I offer individual counseling for adults navigating anxiety, addictions, relationship challenges, life transitions, trauma, and patterns that feel hard to break. My approach is active and engaged — I won’t simply sit back and nod. I provide thoughtful feedback, insight, and honest collaboration to support meaningful, lasting change.

Together, we work to cultivate purpose and self-acceptance by addressing the deeper roots of emotional and behavioral patterns. While coping skills matter, sustainable healing comes from understanding what lies beneath. Because growth can feel uncertain — even scary — I bring understanding, compassion, and steady encouragement to the process.

How long does therapy take?

Therapy can last anywhere from a few sessions to several months and/or years. Length of time is dependent upon the client’s goals, the severity of condition, and the type of treatment. If you’re interested in accomplishing more in less time, an intensive may be the best option.

What is experiential therapy?

Experiential therapy is an approach that emphasizes engaging clients in activities or experiences to help them explore and process emotions, thoughts, and behaviors that are otherwise not as readily accessible through traditional talk therapy. Examples include eye-movement-desensitization-and-reprocessing (EMDR), role-play therapy (psychodrama), art, guided imagery, and music.

What is an intensive?

A therapy intensive is an immersive, focused therapeutic experience that typically involves multiple, condensed hours or days. It aims to address specific issues or make significant progress in a shorter timeframe. This format combines various techniques and activities to accelerate the client’s healing or personal growth.
